Beyond “Being Nice”: Building Vulnerability-Based Trust
In most corporate environments, “trust” is treated as a soft, nebulous concept. In SheLEADS, we treat trust as a structural requirement. Without it, you cannot have healthy conflict, and without conflict, you cannot have true commitment or accountability.
This month, we are diving into the 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team. We are moving away from “Predictive Trust” (knowing what someone will do) toward Vulnerability-Based Trust (being able to say “I don’t know” or “I made a mistake”). This is the foundation that allows you to step back and let the team lead while you focus on high-level strategy.
What we are solving this month:
- The “Fine” Culture: Breaking through the superficial politeness that masks underlying issues.
- The Perfectionism Trap: Learning why your “flawless” executive presence might actually be distancing you from your team.
- Psychological Safety 2.0: Creating a “Safety to Dissent” where the best ideas win, regardless of hierarchy.
Watch Tiffany’s Month 5 Briefing: “Trust is the only thing that scales. If you have to check every piece of work, you aren’t leading—you’re just a bottleneck with a title.”
